# Why does my table or chart look or behave differently on the front-end compared to the back-end?

Troubleshooting display or behavior inconsistencies in wpDataTables

wpDataTables is designed based on the **WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)** principle — meaning your tables and charts should look and behave the same in both the back-end preview and the front-end of your website.

If you notice any inconsistencies on the front-end (such as missing images, visual layout issues, or unexpected behavior), this usually indicates a **conflict with your theme, page builder, or another plugin**.

### 🛠 How to troubleshoot this:

1. **Switch to a default WordPress theme** (e.g., Twenty Twenty-Four) and check if the issue still appears.

2. **Deactivate all other plugins except wpDataTables**, refresh the page, and see if the issue is resolved.

3. If the table/chart now works fine, **reactivate your other plugins one by one**, refreshing the page after each activation to see when the issue returns.

4. This will help you **isolate the conflicting plugin or theme**.
